Bob Hallstrom is a conservative Republican and fierce advocate for southeast Nebraska. Bob’s priorities in the Legislature will include working to reduce the property tax burden on farmers and families, being a champion for our family farmers and small business, and supporting quality education to prepare our kids and grandkids for the future.
Hallstrom is a partner with the Brandt, Horan, Hallstrom & Stilmock firm in Syracuse. He was raised in Avoca, NE, and graduated from Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca High School. He then received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1978, and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1981. He is general counsel for the Nebraska Bankers Association and also represents the National Federation of Independent Business, Nebraska Pharmacists Association, and Nebraskans for Workers’ Compensation Equity and Fairness.
In addition to the firm’s extensive government relations representation at the Unicameral, the attorneys at the law offices of Brandt, Horan, Hallstrom & Stilmock provide legal services in Syracuse and Nebraska City. Bob Hallstrom along with his law partners provide legal services in the areas of estate planning and probate, personal injury, business planning, real estate transactions, and municipal law.
Bob and his wife LuRae (Speckmann) raised four children, Erin, Morgan, Kendall and Grant. LuRae was raised on a family farm near Elk Creek and is a realtor/broker, the chaplain at Grand Lodge in Lincoln, and serves as part-time pastor at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Otoe. Bob is a member of the Syracuse Area Chamber of Commerce and is a past board member and president of Luther Memorial Church in Syracuse.
